Today I'm speaking with Mitzi Reyes, well known celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur, to get her thoughts on how she's learned to integrate distinctively visualized backward compatible products into her cosmetics business. Mitzi as a business owner, what's been your biggest takeaway this year?
Speaker 3:
Hi, Alvin. Great to see you. Again. A big thing I have learned this past year is just to take time to smell the roses. I've been lucky enough to continue to work even in a pandemic. But to spend time with those you love that you always think that'll understand when you don't have time. It's the opposite. You spend time with those that are really in your core. And you tell them every day that you love them.

Okay, what would you say was the best unexpected encounter you ever had? Either an elevator pitch or a bathroom run in.
Speaker 3:
the best bathroom running? Well, I don't know if it's the best, but it was really funny. At the People's Choice Awards, I found a bathroom that nobody knew about. I just did a sneak attack. I think all of the staff that was working in the event that night, a&r service industry serving food valet and they knew about that bathroom to one of the young ladies, I would put her at maybe 25 years old, don't matter. Anyways, she told me that she also worked as a CEO for a major cosmetics firm. And we chatted about how since March of 2020. As you know, we both moved from our strategic phase to an operational phase. Now, as you know, there are at least 1700 people involved in my latest project. The first main achievement is the creation of an endowment fund, which is crucial for our 2024 strategy. This fund is a platform for social innovations through sports. Our main objectives through that platform are to identify and encourage social innovations through sports, to accompany those who are making everyday social innovations for sports every day of the week, and to raise awareness and promote those projects in the society.
Speaker 2:
Let's talk some numbers. Mitzi. What was your take in fiscal 2020 versus 21?
Speaker 3:
Well, after our fund was launched last year, the amount been given to our crowdfunding site was approximately 1.7 million pounds, which is a little over 2 million stateside. That sounds quite impressive at the sports level, of course, but after the chaos of 2020, I'm sure you can understand why we're asking for more. Still, this is an impressive achievement and the first very concrete step for this endowment fund.

Okay, any last words of advice?
Speaker 3:
Sure. Just remember that when two people are playing a game, things sometimes get very intense. Both parties have the intention to win the game, but their desires are obviously intention. If you keep that in mind, you'll never miss hear the phrase intention for the would intention again.
