Hi everybody. This is your GoTranscript test creator and I decided to record some tests in my car while I'm driving around. Of course the only problem with that is that since I'm not working with a script like I usually do, that means I get to have the fun time of transcribing it myself. But I've been a transcriber for a few years, so I think I can handle it and I think you can handle it, too, if you just look at the GoTranscript guidelines and refer to them and check everything before you submit your test. It's real important, okay? You can get all the words right and still get rejected even if you got everything 100% right, that still doesn't mean you're going to be accepted because here's the thing, you got to do the formatting too. Because any kind of AI or bot or a Otter or whatever, they can get the words right, but they're not going to go through and check for all the formatting stuff that is specific to GoTranscript.

Because let me tell you something. I actually have worked for several other transcription companies in the last few years and they all had lines and some of them are the same and some of them are different. I noticed some transcription companies, they want you to use the letters O and K for the word okay. But in other ones, they want you to spell it out like O-K-A-Y. So you got to know that stuff and AI isn't going to figure that out for you and it's not going to figure out how you're going to transcribe private like in this very audio. You got to look at the GoTranscript guidelines and see if you can figure it out.Now, as far as the people that look on the Facebook page, that's okay. You can look things up. You can go on the search feature and search for your question. You can search for sound tags or whatever, but just be a little discreet when you're asking questions. It's okay to ask questions, but the thing is the other transcribers are not only not required to help you with the audio test, but they're discouraged from it. There's a lot of [inaudible 00:02:32] out there. I know you may find this hard to believe, but there's people that actually are registered, like at GoTranscript and other transcription companies

And they take the test like the one that you're taking right now and they take it and they start these YouTube channels and they tell people how to type it and they basically are just selling advertising on their stupid YouTube channels. Because honestly, I look at some of them and their formatting is horrible, so they're not really paying attention to everything.So honestly, if you copy from one of those guys, you're not going to get through. So take my advice, do your own work. Do your own research, check the formatting guidelines, look stuff up. It's okay to look stuff up on the Facebook page if you're on the Facebook page, or send a private message to somebody at GoTranscript and just ask your simple question, one or the other. It's okay to do that. Questions are good. GoTranscript, we love questions at GoTranscript. So if you've got a question, we've got an answer. It a may not be the best possible answer, but it's an answer. So my answer to you is, as I always say, read the guidelines at GoTranscript and thanks for listening.
