The purpose of this, this test is to- to see if you are paying attention. We have given you a lot of information to help you pass this test. But if you don't follow the guidelines you won't pass. For example, right at the beginning of this test I telling you that this is supposed to be formatted as clean as a clean verbatim transcript, as opposed to full verbatim. There are different ways that transcripts are supposed to be formatted depending on whether their CV or fv. There are even the sample tests and documents provided. So you can look that up. yet we're constantly flummoxed at how many people ignore that information. Another section of the GoTranscript guidelines specifies just exactly, well, approximately how long your paragraph should be. Are you following that rule? It's, it's pretty easy. And- and yet, you'd be surprised at how many people's tests are just one big long blob of a paragraph. There's also a segment of the guidelines that explains how to format tags, such as in unintelligible and in audible speaker tags, and sound events.

I think what I would say from expatriates is you get a degree of reliability. You- You really know what you're getting. When you send an expatriate manager, you know what he can do? You know, what his approach to risk is to, to managing in the company's best interest. And so you can rely on it. It's, it's hard for me to say superior performance. I would say it's, it's about risk mitigation. You have a known entity, and that known entity is someone who's worked for you locally. You can then export your skills to reliability or expertise. And you know, that's what you're good. What tends to happen, I feel, and I've seen a lot in my career is annex expatriate would go to a company. He'd worked with the staff lawyers locally. Oh, geez, I was working on a really complex Aaron cable. And I noticed I'd missed frost an inch back.

Speaker 2:

I tried laddering down. But that was a mess. And so, I'd already done Oh, at least 1500 stitches. Then I tried thinking back, but the gauge was too tight to do it easily. I would have had to frog the whole damn thing. But fortunately, I had a lifeline. Thank goodness, I'd had the foresight to do that. Anyway, getting back to our topic. Safety is a key factor in these days in the oil and gas industry, particularly different countries have different have very different cultures associated with their approach to safety. Oh, and don't forget cybersafety to pipeline incident last week. If you have a particular company culture, you can expatriate people who are assigned to your attitude and approach to risk on safety and feel that you've got a better chance of managing it and controlling it with those people in the location rather than relying on developing the local culture.
