Oh, hello, everybody, it's time for another one of my rambling drives through the valley in giving you this audio test so that you too can become a famous go transcript, transcriber and all points beyond so let's get started, shall we, um, case, you can't tell I am my car, I'm just starting to drive down a road called Wolsey Canyon Road, and Chatsworth. And actually, it starts in Simi Valley, and goes all the way down into Chatsworth and points beyond and goes past the Santa Susanna fields laboratory, which, if you do some research online, you'll find out some real interesting things about that place. And if you put one of those things into a link and post it at the bottom of your transcript, I will pay a little extra attention to your transcript. Okay, so that doesn't mean you'll pass but it means it'll give you a better shot at it because we hear it go transcript. We love research links. We love it when it shows that our transcribers are paying attention, and checking the spelling, as well as the guidelines and looking for the things about the numbers.
Like if you have a three and a 12. In the same sentence, we look at how you format those because that's spelled out the guidelines. So better look it up. So anyway, here I go down the hill. And don't you love that road noise? Because last month, I had to get my brakes fixed and the cost of removal for K, that's 4000 bucks to you and me. I don't know how much that is in pounds in England or policy. Does Australia use pounds? I'm sure I'll have to go to our Australian GoTranscript transcribers I think their dollars. Anyway, um, what was I saying? Oh, yeah, cost me 4000 bucks to get these brakes fixed. And this is an old car too. So, I was really tempted to just buy a new one. But honestly, the kind of car I could get for 4000 bucks, it's probably going to be way higher mileage and stuff. And if I'm going to get a new car, I'm gonna wait till next year because you know, on this fabulously rich go transcript salary that we all get, as you know, you can afford to get a limo or a, I don't know, your own personal Uber driver, or maybe a Renault or, I don't know, there's all sorts of fancy cars out there. And maybe, maybe I'll get a classic car like a little GTO or something like the beach voicing and take advantage of the choice, let's saying little GTO or something like that.
Anyway, that could be another thing you'd research you know, I don't like to on the bottom of the transcript, you want to really impress. When you're doing your transcript meeting, like I said, it doesn't guarantee that I'm going to pass you but it'll make me look at it twice before I hit that reject button. So, give it a shot, right? If you really want to be a transcriber, you've got to do research, you got to look things up, you got to look up names. One thing you got to do is make sure that everything's consistent in the transcripts that you're working on. Like if a name is spelled one way in one part of the transcript in a different way and the other part of the transcript and it's obviously the same person, you're gonna get dinged for that you so you better fix that because, you know, editors are supposed to fix it. And they get in trouble if they don't fix it too. So, don't make me come down there is what I'm saying. Anyway, I'm getting close to a point where I'm going to stop and turn off the recorder because, you know, going down this curvy road and there's a big curve right ahead of me and there's also a car on my tail. So anyway, that's it. So thanks a lot. Look at the GoTranscript guidelines and good luck. Six tests.
